Jhon Solis is having a breakthrough season for both his club and his country

Colombian media praised Birmingham City midfielder Jhon Solis following his first international start in a 2-0 friendly win over an opponent in Miami. Head coach Néstor Lorenzo handed the 22-year-old a starting role after his debut off the bench against Paraguay, and outlet El Tiempo highlighted Solis as possessing raw talent alongside midfield partner Gustavo Puerta.
Solis featured for 61 minutes before Colombia secured victory through goals from Samuel Velasquez and Daniel Arcila. The former Girona midfielder returns to Birmingham City under manager Chris Davies ahead of upcoming Championship fixtures against West Brom and Preston North End.
