Former Birmingham City defender Michael Morrison has opened up about his retirement, playing against Lukas Jutkiewicz, and his ambitions in coaching. Speaking on the Keep Right On podcast, the 38-year-old reflected on concluding his 20-year playing career with Cambridge United before transitioning into a coaching role at AFC Wimbledon under manager Johnnie Jackson.
Morrison holds a UEFA Pro Licence and hopes to eventually become a manager, citing figures such as Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney who transitioned into EFL management roles. He also discussed his business partnership and memorable final match against longtime friend Lukas Jutkiewicz.
