Blackburn Rovers winger Dapo Afolayan reflected on his unconventional career path, having left Chelsea's academy at age 14 to focus on his GCSEs. After later playing for St Pauli under Fabian Hurzeler in Germany, Afolayan has enjoyed a strong resurgence at Blackburn under manager Tony Mowbray, starting all 14 Championship matches this season while scoring four goals.
Afolayan credited Hurzeler with transforming his tactical understanding of the game and aiding St Pauli's promotion campaign before returning to England.
