Brian Barry-Murphy hails Cardiff’s ‘special’ comeback against Burnley…
Cardiff City manager Brian Barry-Murphy praised his side's "special" comeback after overcoming a 4-1 deficit to defeat Burnley 5-4 at the Cardiff City Stadium. Barry-Murphy stated that he always maintained belief his team could secure a victory, even when trailing heavily during the nine-goal contest on Saturday.
The Bluebirds completed the turnaround by scoring three times in a span of 29 minutes. While Burnley manager Fabio Celestini was left questioning his squad's mentality, Barry-Murphy commended his stretched squad and young attacking players for their persistent attitude and reciprocal energy with the home supporters.
