Josh Cullen thankful for Burnley fans’ support after emotional return…

Burnley midfielder Josh Cullen expressed gratitude to supporters after receiving a standing ovation upon his return from a 10-month injury absence. The 30-year-old featured during Burnley's 0-0 draw against Portsmouth at Turf Moor on Saturday. It marked Cullen's first appearance since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Everton in December 2025.
Upon entering the pitch, Cullen took over the captain's armband from Kyle Walker. The match also served as head coach Fabio Celestini's first game leading the Clarets. Despite Burnley failing to convert any of their more than 20 shots into a win, Cullen commended Celestini's early positive impact and energy.
