Jairo Riedewald started in Kalvin Phillips' absence against Preston North End, but Sheffield United's player of the month is back.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been passed fit to face Charlton Athletic. Writer James Ray argues that Phillips should immediately replace Jairo Riedewald in the starting lineup if ready. Riedewald filled in during the Blades' recent 3-2 victory over Preston North End, while Phillips missed out through injury.
Ray highlights that Phillips provides strong defensive contributions and passing range that balance effectively alongside midfielder Sydie Peck. However, the writer notes that if Sheffield United exercise caution over Phillips' fitness, Riedewald should retain his place in the side as an able facilitator.
