Derby County have moved to sign former Brighton man Shane Duffy…

Derby County have completed the signing of free agent defender Shane Duffy on a short-term contract until January. The 34-year-old former Premier League center-back goes straight into the squad for the upcoming weekend match against Millwall at The Den. Duffy had been without a club since leaving Norwich City during the summer.
The transfer addresses a severe defensive shortage for Derby, with Matt Clarke, Eiran Cashin, and Sondre Langas sidelined by injury, alongside Dion Sanderson serving a one-match suspension. Duffy represents the second free agent defender to join the club this month, following the recent signing of Jack Robinson.
