Middlesbrough defender Alfie Jones has suffered one setback after another since getting injured on Boxing Day last year…
Middlesbrough manager Kim Hellberg confirmed that defender Alfie Jones remains several weeks away from returning to action following another injury setback. Jones, who joined from Hull City, previously missed the second half of last season and sustained further injuries during the World Cup with Canada and in an early-season match against Norwich City. Hellberg stated that the club will not rush his recovery.
Meanwhile, Middlesbrough received positive news with forward David Strelec returning to training. Strelec, who has been limited to just eight Championship minutes this season due to fitness issues, is in contention to feature against Charlton Athletic. Hellberg expressed confidence in the Slovakian international's ability to make a significant impact moving forward.
