Kieran Scott and Chris Jones have signed new contracts at Middlesbrough, with Paul Watson joining the club as chief technical officer…
Middlesbrough head of football Kieran Scott and head of recruitment Chris Jones have both signed new contracts with the Championship leaders. Scott, who joined the club in September 2021, and Jones have overseen recruitment during a period that has seen Boro reach the Championship play-offs twice and lose just one of their opening 12 league fixtures under manager Kim Hellberg.
Alongside the contract extensions, Middlesbrough confirmed the appointment of Paul Watson as chief technical officer from Brentford. Watson, who formerly worked at Swansea City and Luton Town, will report directly to Scott and concentrate on data, the technical side of operations, and supporting Hellberg and the first-team squad.
