Kim Hellberg feels it is “time to move on” from Spygate scandal, having revealed Southampton boss Tonda Eckert phoned him to apologise
Middlesbrough head coach Kim Hellberg stated that it is time to move on from the spying scandal after receiving a personal apology from Southampton manager Tonda Eckert earlier this summer. Hellberg addressed the situation after an independent FA panel handed Eckert a suspended six-week ban and a £28,000 fine.
The controversy began late last season when Southampton intern Will Salt was caught spying on Middlesbrough's training session. The incident led to Southampton being expelled from the Championship play-offs and docked four points for the current season, though Hellberg now considers the matter resolved.
