Former Middlesbrough coach and caretaker manager Leo Percovich has revealed his ultimate dream is to see his 16-year-old son, Pietro, play for Middlesbrough. Returning to the Riverside Stadium for the club's 150th anniversary Legacy Game alongside former manager Aitor Karanka, the 58-year-old explained that his son is currently developing as a goalkeeper at the Under-19 level in Uruguay.

Percovich reflected on his history with Middlesbrough, including their 2016 Premier League promotion and his five-match caretaker spell in October 2022 following Chris Wilder's departure. During that stint, he notably brought academy midfielder Hayden Hackney into the first team before Michael Carrick was appointed manager.
