Gordon Strachan sees similarities in Will Lankshear's importance to Middlesbrough as Robert Lewandowski with Poland…

Former Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan has compared striker Will Lankshear to Robert Lewandowski, calling the summer signing a potential figurehead for the club. Speaking to Boylesports, Strachan praised Lankshear's physical presence and goalscoring instinct, suggesting the forward could be the key factor in driving Middlesbrough back toward the Premier League.
Lankshear, who signed from Tottenham, has scored 11 goals in his first 14 appearances for Middlesbrough. In their recent fixture against Cardiff City, manager Kim Hellberg introduced Lankshear as a half-time substitute, helping inspire Boro to recover from a 2-0 deficit to secure a draw.
