Jay Enem has emerged as an important player for Bologna after a proposed summer move away collapsed. Norwich City pursued the 23-year-old attacker on a loan deal, and Swiss side Lugano nearly completed a transfer before an injury to Artem Dovbyk prompted Bologna to keep him. Over the weekend, Enem scored a decisive goal in a 2-1 victory against Lecce, earning crucial points for manager Raffaele Palladino.
Gianluca Di Marzio highlighted the failed exit as a major turning point in Enem's career. Although Norwich competed with Watford for his signature, no final agreement was reached. The gamble to retain the Dutch forward is now paying off, with Enem establishing himself as a reliable contributor in Serie A.
