Stoke City forked out big money to land the striker from Ipswich Town in the summer but he has struggled for goals.

Pundit Andy Hinchcliffe expressed disappointment with striker George Hirst's early performances for Stoke City following his permanent summer transfer from Ipswich Town. The Potters paid a reported £10 million fee in August to sign the 27-year-old on a three-year contract, but Hirst has struggled to make an immediate impact under manager Mark Robins.
Hirst has recorded just one goal and one assist across 12 total appearances this season. Hinchcliffe noted on Sky Sports that he expected Hirst to become an automatic starter, but the forward currently faces fierce competition from attacking teammates including Lamine Cisse, Robert Bozenik, and Sam Gallagher.
