Adrian Segečić remains away with Croatia under-21s during the international break

Croatia Under-21 manager Ivica Olić has decided against releasing Portsmouth forward Adrian Segečić early from international duty, despite allowing two other squad members to return to their clubs. Segečić will remain with the national side for upcoming qualifiers against Ukraine and Lithuania after Croatia secured qualification for next summer's European Championships with a 3-1 victory over Hungary.
While Simun Hrgovic and Branimir Mlacic were granted permission to leave early, Segečić is not expected to rejoin Portsmouth until Wednesday, October 7. The decision impacts manager John Mousinho's preparations ahead of Portsmouth's Championship south-coast derby against rivals Southampton.
