The Story in 60 Seconds

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho has confirmed that striker Colby Bishop sustained more knee damage than initially expected after undergoing a second scan. The 29-year-old forward suffered bone bruising during a warm-up ahead of Portsmouth's victory against Norwich City earlier in the month, but Mousinho confirmed that Bishop will not require surgery for the issue.

Bishop will undergo at least two to three weeks of offloading to allow the knee to heal before being reassessed, with no exact return date established. Mousinho noted that having attacking options such as Thomas Waddingham, Marko Milovanović, and Tyrese Shade relieves the pressure on Bishop to make a rushed comeback.
