The ‘rivalry’ Pompey fans will love to hear about driving their run up the Championship.
Portsmouth right-back Terry Devlin has praised his close friendship and healthy competition with teammate Zak Swanson following a strong run of Championship form. Devlin returned to manager John Mousinho's starting lineup on Tuesday night, scoring the equalizing goal in a 1-1 comeback draw against Wolves.
Devlin had spent four matches out of the starting team while the 26-year-old Swanson excelled, scoring against both Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United. Together, their contributions have helped Portsmouth secure seven points from nine matches, bouncing back from an earlier south-coast derby loss to Southampton.
