Pompey were linked with a move for Solly March in the summer, although any speculation was wide of the mark.

Former Brighton winger Solly March is currently training with a Championship club to maintain his fitness while seeking a new team. The 32-year-old free agent was linked with Portsmouth, West Ham, and Southampton over the summer, but a move to the top flight recently collapsed despite him passing a medical examination.
March, who left Brighton at the end of last season after 13 years, revealed that his knee is strong and free of swelling. While his previous injuries have raised fitness concerns among interested clubs, he remains determined to prove his conditioning and ultimately secure a return to the Premier League or move abroad.
