Josh Murphy has made six appearances for the Blues since December 20, 2025…

Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho is carefully assessing the involvement of Josh Murphy and Conor Shaughnessy following their return to the first-team squad against Burnley. Murphy played 18 minutes as a substitute during the goalless draw, while Shaughnessy remained an unused substitute on the bench. Both players are back in contention ahead of Tuesday's match against Swansea City at Fratton Park.
Mousinho confirmed that the club will avoid taking unnecessary risks with Murphy following his groin surgery in August, which had limited him to three substitute appearances this season. Meanwhile, Shaughnessy is fit and available after missing five matches with a groin issue, although central defenders Regan Poole and Madiodio Dia remain in strong form.
