Chris Wilder is hopeful Sheffield United can agree new deals with a number of key players as the Blades plan for the future after a few summers of big turnover…

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed the club is actively negotiating new contracts with several key players to secure their long-term futures. The Blades are aiming to protect the transfer value of core squad members and establish stability following extensive roster turnover during recent transfer windows. Femi Seriki's deal expires in the summer, while Michael Cooper, Harrison Burrows, and Sydie Peck are set to enter the final 18 months of their contracts.
Wilder stated that while contract talks naturally involve negotiations regarding pay increases, the club is hopeful of adopting an aggressive approach to finalize agreements. He emphasized the importance of building continuity and avoiding another window of extreme churn, having overseen 24 player departures and six arrivals in the previous summer transfer window.
