Southampton defender Ryan Manning has confirmed his desire to sign a contract extension and secure promotion back to the Premier League. The 30-year-old full-back is currently out of contract next summer, and the club has reportedly opened talks with him and teammate Cam Bragg over new deals at St Mary's.
Manning joined Saints on a free transfer from Swansea City in 2023 and has made 134 appearances for the south coast side. Under manager Tonda Eckert, Southampton sits three points off the automatic promotion spots after 14 matches, having overcome a four-point deduction to start the Championship season.
