RYAN Manning insists Saints cannot afford to underestimate Championship bottom club Preston, warning that “anyone can beat anyone”.
Southampton defender Ryan Manning has warned his teammates against complacency ahead of their match at Deepdale against bottom-placed Preston North End. Despite Preston earning just five points from their first 14 matches, Manning emphasized that form means little in the Championship and called for Saints to start aggressively to avoid energizing the home supporters.
Manning stressed the importance of improving Southampton's overall away form to maintain a title challenge, despite prior victories at Norwich and West Ham. He highlighted the need to control the tempo, dominate possession, and remain fully focused to secure crucial points.
