Divin Mubama replaced Lewis Dobbin in the 89th minute at West Ham. It was his tenth league appearance, and none has been a start.

Manchester City loanee Divin Mubama has played just 145 minutes across ten league appearances for Southampton without making a single start. After another late substitute cameo in Southampton's 3-2 victory against West Ham, writer Paul Blake argues that the striker's season-long loan spell has yielded a paltry return and left his immediate future in doubt.
Blake notes that manager Eckert has favored forwards Cyle Larin and Lewis Dobbin ahead of Mubama in the pecking order. With Mubama struggling to build rhythm and Southampton considering recruitment in January, Blake suggests that the forward could potentially return to Manchester City if his playing time does not improve soon.
