Will Saints Utilise Surprise Option As Cyle Larin Returns Early Ahead of Pompey Game

Southampton striker Cyle Larin returned early from international duty with Canada due to back irritation, making him an injury doubt for the South Coast derby against Portsmouth. Manager Tonda Eckert faces potential absences alongside goalkeeper Daniel Peretz ahead of the fixture.

The Ugly Inside suggests Eckert could consider Lewis Dobbin as a surprise central striker option rather than standard alternative Divin Mubama. Dobbin's pace, along with attacking options like Leo Scienza, could provide an alternative approach against Portsmouth's physical defensive line.
