Ato Ampah is yet to make his senior debut for Stoke City, and a new injury blow means the wait will go on.

Stoke City manager Mark Robins has confirmed that winger Ato Ampah faces an extended spell out after undergoing serious knee surgery. The 20-year-old sustained an impact injury during the international break just as he was nearing full fitness. Robins revealed that while the procedure went well, Ampah will require a significant recovery period to ensure the joint surfaces heal properly.
Ampah joined the Potters from Chelsea in January but has yet to make his senior debut for the club due to recurring injury setbacks. After earlier missing time with a toe problem, the youngster had been building match fitness with the under-21 side before suffering this latest blow.
