Charles joined Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan from Manchester City during the summer transfer window. After progressing through City's academy and making 36 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, Charles was re-signed by City on a contract running until 2031 before his temporary switch to Loftus Road.
