Substitute Aune Heggebo struck late for West Brom to deny Preston a first win under Graham Alexander in a 1-1 draw at a wind-swept Deepdale in the Championship.

Preston North End earned their first point under manager Graham Alexander following a 1-1 Championship draw against West Bromwich Albion at Deepdale. Andrew Hughes gave Preston the lead in the 78th minute by hooking home from a corner, but West Brom substitute Aune Heggebo leveled the match four minutes later by firing home an 82nd-minute equalizer.
The point was Preston's first since Alexander took charge earlier in the month, coming after a difficult week in which two first-team coaches departed. West Brom head coach James Morrison saw his side recover from behind once again after Preston goalkeeper Daniel Iversen had pushed Isaac Price's close-range effort onto the post just before Heggebo's rebound.
