A sensational piece of goalkeeping ensured West Ham and QPR drew

West Ham United drew 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship at London Stadium following dramatic late action. Nicolas Madsen opened the scoring for QPR with a controversial first-half penalty after Tomas Soucek fouled Paul Smyth. Jarrod Bowen leveled for West Ham in the second half, but Manchester City loanee Pierce Charles preserved the draw by saving Bowen's stoppage-time penalty and the subsequent rebound.
Charles denied Bowen's initial spot kick after Amadou Mbengue fouled Pablo, before tipping Arne Engels' follow-up header onto the woodwork. The result denied Nuno Espirito Santo's side top spot in the Championship table. The match also featured tributes from West Ham to former goalkeeper and coach Ludek Miklosko, who died last month.
