West Ham United reportedly attempted to revive a transfer for Edson Alvarez to Olympiacos after previously rejecting a €15 million package, according to a report from Claret & Hugh. The Hammers initially deemed the proposal—comprising €10 million guaranteed and €5 million in add-ons—insufficient, but when they later changed their stance, the Greek club had already moved on.
Alvarez has since returned to training with West Ham and reportedly remains part of manager Nuno Espirito Santo's plans. However, the midfielder faces competition for playing time from Arne Engels, Divine Mukasa, Lewis Orford, and Mohamadou Kante as he seeks selection in upcoming matchday squads.
