“He raved about it” – Player reveals Wolves man’s big role in Molineux exit

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Santi Bueno revealed that teammate Raúl Jiménez played a key role in convincing him to join Mexican side Club América. The 27-year-old Uruguayan international completed a loan move to Club América with a $10 million (€8.6m) purchase option after speaking extensively with Jiménez in the Wolves dressing room.

Bueno explained to TUDN that Jiménez spoke highly of the club, Mexico City, and the country. The center-back also consulted Uruguay national teammates Brian Rodríguez and Sebastián Cáceres before making the move, while noting he is currently adapting to Mexico City's high altitude.
