The Story in 60 Seconds

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender David Møller Wolfe has expressed his desire to join Hamburg SV on a permanent basis following a successful start to his loan spell in Germany. The 24-year-old Norway international secured a deadline-day loan move to the Bundesliga side after Wolves were relegated to the Championship. Wolfe confirmed to German outlet Bild that he would be very happy to remain in Hamburg beyond the current season.

Hamburg holds an agreed €14.5 million purchase option with Wolves, managed by César Peixoto, which would prevent the English club from blocking a permanent transfer. Wolfe, who is under contract at Molineux until 2030, has started every league match under Hamburg manager Merlin Polzin, featuring most recently as a right wing-back in a 3-2 victory over TSG Hoffenheim.
