IT’S not just the Adran Premier title that Wrexham are looking to retain this season.
Defending champions Wrexham Women begin their Adran Trophy title defense on Sunday with an away match against Adran North side Llanfair United. Wrexham, currently two points clear at the top of the Adran Premier, won the competition last season under head coach Jenny Sugarman after defeating Cardiff City on penalties in the final. Sugarman stressed that her squad must keep standards high against strong tier-two opposition.
Elsewhere in the competition, an all-Adran North matchup sees Flint Town United host Connah's Quay Nomads, ensuring a Flintshire team reaches the quarter-finals. Newly promoted Adran North leaders Wrexham Foresters face a difficult away fixture against top-flight contenders The New Saints, while Cardiff City host Pontypridd United.
