Wrexham players Josh Windass and Ben Sheaf joined co-chairmen Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in a new mock recruitment advert for active gaming company Nex Playground. Created in partnership with Maximum Effort, the campaign features the four-man panel interviewing a young gamer rather than a traditional footballer.

Nex Playground became Wrexham's official active gaming partner and shirt sleeve sponsor in June for the 2026/27 season. The commercial coincides with Sonic Forces arriving on the platform's Play Pass and provides an off-field role for the two Championship squad members.
