WREXHAM were handed a major blow ahead of their Adran Premier encounter versus Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Wrexham secured a 4-0 home victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel at The Rock to maintain their position at the top of the Adran Premier table. The triumph was tempered by the confirmation that star striker Katie Barker suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Barker, who finished as the league's top scorer last season, will see a specialist ahead of her rehabilitation.
On the pitch, Jenny Sugarman's side took early control with an 11th-minute goal from Faye Knox. In the second half, Lili Jones doubled the lead from long range before Knox added her second just a minute later. Maria Francis-Jones capped off the scoring in the final minute, leaving Wrexham two points clear at the summit.
