Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac issue a statement after Michael Williamson leaves as Wrexham AFC chief executive, with Shaun Harvey named acting CEO.
Wrexham co-chairmen Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have released a joint statement following the departure of chief executive Michael Williamson after more than two years. Williamson, who was appointed in May 2024, helped oversee the club's promotion from League One to the Championship. Club director Shaun Harvey has stepped in as acting chief executive, with no specific reason provided for Williamson's exit.
During Williamson's tenure, Wrexham achieved back-to-back promotions to return to the Championship for the first time since 1978. He was also recognized for off-pitch developments, including new academy facilities and work on the Kop redevelopment, while Harvey previously served as EFL chief executive.
