Wrexham midfielder Matty James has opened up about managing a recurring back issue that unexpectedly flared up during the international break. The 35-year-old missed two Championship matches and received an injection before returning to the starting lineup in Wrexham's 4-1 victory over Preston North End at The Racecourse.
James noted that missing games was challenging and acknowledged that early-season injuries have disrupted the squad's rhythm under manager Phil Parkinson. Sitting 14th with 14 points from 11 games, James remains optimistic about Wrexham moving up the congested table as injured players return.
