Leicester City fans get glimpse of next generation with FA Youth Cup derby

Leicester City's Under-18s face Anstey Nomads in an FA Youth Cup derby at Cropston Road on Wednesday. Following Leicester's relegation to League One, the young side entered the tournament earlier than usual. The match offers supporters a rare chance to see emerging academy talents in competitive knockout action against a local opponent managed by former Leicester goalkeeper Conrad Logan and coached by David Nugent.

Under-18s manager Matt Rains noted that the squad is excited for the knockout experience and the local rivalry. Forward Jake Fletcher enters the tie in strong form, having scored seven goals in his last five games, while Leicester arrives unbeaten in four matches across all competitions.
