Still, clean sheets mean nothing without goals. Leicester desperately lack a ruthless forward who can guarantee 20 goals a season in the English Football League. Unless recruitment chiefs strike before Tuesday’s transfer window deadline, promotion ambitions will crumble early.
Patience in the stands is wearing razor-thin. Almost 6,000 traveling Foxes fans packed out Stadium MK, but admiration turned to fury as Leicester failed to break down MK Dons’ stubborn low block.
