Russell Martin discussed Leicester City's FA Cup trip to Oxford City and 2021 winner Luke Thomas…
Leicester City manager Russell Martin praised defender Luke Thomas ahead of their FA Cup clash against non-league Oxford City. Thomas is the sole remaining player at Leicester from the squad that won the FA Cup final five years prior. Martin revealed that Thomas chose to stay at the club despite having opportunities to depart for a higher level during the summer transfer window.
Now competing in the third tier, Leicester face Oxford City in a televised tie Martin warned could be an upset. Martin acknowledged his team faces pressure as the favorites and emphasized the importance of Thomas' attitude, versatility, and character to the squad.
