Russell Martin has told a Leicester City fan that the team were 's***' before he arrived in a bizarre showdown - after losing a lower-league cup match to Stevenage.
Leicester City manager Russell Martin confronted a supporter outside the stadium following a 2-1 defeat against Stevenage, claiming the team had been "s***" before his arrival. The interaction was filmed by a fan who challenged Martin over the team's slow, predictable style of play. Martin defended his tactics by citing shot statistics and stating he would "live and die by the sword."
The defeat came in the Jersey Mike's Trophy, where Leicester dominated possession with 72 percent and had 21 shots but conceded twice. Martin, who has won four of 11 games since taking charge in June, insisted his attacking style will bring success despite Leicester sitting 14th in League One.
