Boss linked with promotion hunter job fined four figures after foul-mouthed Sheffield Wednesday protest

Former Wycombe Wanderers manager Michael Duff has been handed a one-match touchline ban and a £1,000 fine by the FA for misconduct. Duff admitted to using abusive and insulting words toward match officials following a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on September 1, where Jamal Lowe scored a winning penalty.

Duff was sacked by Wycombe shortly after the match and is now reportedly a leading contender for the vacant Bradford City managerial position alongside Paul Heckingbottom and Matt Bloomfield. If appointed by Bradford, Duff will be forced to serve the suspension during his first match in charge.
