‘Deserved to win’ – Salford boss reflects on Sheffield Wednesday clash and makes Owls admission

Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to defeat Salford City 2-1 in their Jersey Mike’s Trophy Group A opener at the AIG Stadium. Ben Woodburn put Salford ahead with a first-half strike, but Wednesday responded in the second half through Davis Keillor-Dunn and a penalty from Jamal Lowe.

Salford City manager Peter Cklamovski stated that his side deserved to win after outshooting Wednesday 19 to five over the 90 minutes. Despite Henrik Pedersen's team struggling in the first half, Keillor-Dunn's maiden goal and Lowe's sixth goal of the season sealed the comeback victory for the Owls.
