Sheffield Wednesday cult hero secures out-of-window switch – immediately makes debut

Former Sheffield Wednesday defender Chey Dunkley has joined National League side Solihull Moors on a short-term loan from Chesterfield. Just hours after confirming the switch on Tuesday, the 34-year-old centre-half played the full 90 minutes in Solihull Moors' 4-2 victory away against Woking, which marked only their second league win of the campaign.

Dunkley had not featured in League Two for Chesterfield this season after being omitted from the squad registration list. Solihull Moors manager Chris Millington praised the defender's leadership, while Chesterfield chairman Ashley Kirk confirmed the club holds a recall option on the player.
