Fifa accuse Uefa of ‘misinformation campaign’ against Gianni Infantino after legal filing

Fifa has accused Uefa of conducting a misinformation campaign and attempting to influence its presidential election through a US legal filing. The world governing body filed a response in the Southern District of Florida urging the federal court to reject Uefa's discovery request regarding Gianni Infantino.

Uefa previously sought court permission to secure documents and testimony for a planned Swiss criminal complaint concerning an abandoned plan to shift World Cup commercial rights to a subsidiary named Fifa Forward Enterprise. Fifa stated the claims that Infantino sought personal profit or violated ethical principles are false and without merit.
