The new stadium was expected to be ready by 2024 or 2025 but public debate and bureaucratic delays forced the clubs to explore other options…

AC Milan and Inter Milan have revealed joint proposals and initial designs for the Generali Stadium, a new 71,500-seat arena set to replace the iconic San Siro. Presented at the Castello Sforzesco by architects Foster + Partners and Manica, the venue features an oval design with 80 diamond shapes and steep two-tier stands.
The clubs plan to invest over €1 billion in the project, targeting completion ahead of Euro 2032. Construction on an adjacent parking lot is scheduled to start in 2028, after which the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will be largely demolished.
