James Maddison says he has "so much more to give" Tottenham after he marked his first start in nearly 18 months with a stunning goal that helped Spurs to their first Premier League win of the season.

James Maddison scored the opening goal in his first start in nearly 18 months to lead Tottenham to a 3-1 victory over Coventry. The 29-year-old playmaker, returning from a prolonged lay-off following an ACL injury, curled in a 14th-minute strike set up by Mohammed Kudus. The win marked Tottenham's first Premier League victory of the season and lifted Roberto De Zerbi's side off the bottom of the table.
The match also featured the return of Dejan Kulusevski, who made his first competitive appearance in 526 days as a substitute. Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher and journalist Patrick Rowe both highlighted Maddison's ability to act as the creative link for Spurs, who had struggled early in the campaign following a £334m summer transfer outlay.
