Canada’s Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David meet in mouthwatering Bayern-Atletico Champions League battle

Canadian stars Alphonso Davies and Jonathan David will face each other for the first time as Bayern Munich travels to play Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Bayern enters the fourth matchday unbeaten across all competitions this season with a 1-2-0 European record, following a recent 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund. Davies could feature on the left wing for Bayern due to injuries to Luis Diaz and Serge Gnabry.

Atlético Madrid holds a 1-1-1 Champions League record and remains unbeaten at home this season. While David has scored three goals in LaLiga, he may start on the bench as Julian Alvarez continues to lead the attack. Bayern striker Harry Kane could also match Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League record by scoring in his 11th consecutive match in the competition.
