Celtic returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-0 win at Motherwell, with Martin O'Neill pleased with how his side responded to recent criticism

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill expressed delight with his team's performance following a 2-0 victory against Motherwell at Fir Park. Goals from Camilo Duran and Benjamin Nygren secured Celtic's seventh win in eight league matches, lifting them back to the top of the table. The result answered recent criticism after Celtic suffered three consecutive defeats across seven days, including two losses to Rangers.
The fixture also marked the return of winger Jota, who made a substitute appearance in the 73rd minute after being sidelined for nearly 18 months with cruciate ligament damage. Meanwhile, O'Neill confirmed that defender Cameron Carter-Vickers missed the match due to a strain and is unlikely to be available for Thursday's Europa League game against Benfica.
