Josh Fowler's first-half penalty after a VAR check earns St Johnstone a 1-0 win over Aberdeen, lifting the Saints into the Scottish Premiership's top five.
Josh Fowler scored a first-half penalty to secure a 1-0 victory for St Johnstone over Aberdeen, lifting the club into the top five of the Scottish Premiership. Fowler converted the spot kick straight down the middle after a VAR review penalized Aberdeen defender Jack Milne for a handball from Fowler's volley.
Aberdeen pressed for an equalizer throughout the match, but Saints goalkeeper Toby Steward made key saves against Ayoub Mouloua and Kevin Nisbet. Late attempts from substitutes Tony Yogane and debutant Hicham Mahou failed to break through, leaving Aberdeen empty-handed as St Johnstone held on for the win.
