Zach Mitchell’s St Johnstone loan cut short due to knee injury

Defender Zach Mitchell's season-long loan with St Johnstone has been cut short following a serious knee injury. The 21-year-old sustained the injury during a match against Falkirk and has already undergone surgery.

Mitchell has returned to parent club Charlton to undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Mitchell and St Johnstone both released statements thanking each other for his contributions during his second spell with the Scottish club.
